The hope-filled message in one of the We All Need Hope booklets from Schaumburg, Ill.-based Lighthouse Christian Products (LCP) is making a positive impact on a prisoner’s life, according to a letter he sent to the supplier.

LCP received the letter last week from a man incarcerated in a Michigan correctional facility for check forgery. During the worship hour there, the chaplain handed him one of the company’s booklets. The prisoner, who said he was “impressed” by the high-resolution photographs in the piece, also appreciated its message.

“There was a message of hope which was accompanied by scripture and uplifting testimony, and it effectively changed my life forever,” he wrote in the letter. He also noted that while behind bars, he has been in a “healing and spiritually renewing place” and that he was in the “process of being reformed.”

We All Need Hope is one of several booklets the company attaches to each of its products, but it is also sold separately. Ed Nizynski, vice president, sales, said the company is getting orders for 250-500 booklets from people who want to use them for the purpose of ministering to others.

“My brother George started this company about 14 years ago as a ministry, and it is a good human feeling that the gift-product resources we design and manufacture do help, inspire, comfort and bring people closer to Christ,” said Ed Nizynski, vice president, sales at Lighthouse Christian Products.

Swanson Christian Products also reported that its popular Faith Bands are being used as witnessing tools. One consumer notified the company that he had just bought a 144-pack of bands for a Vacation Bible School class.

“I had one child in my younger class tell me that he uses these to tell people about Jesus, and he is only 6,” he said. “That’s where I got the idea to use them in VBS for the 4th graders. I just hope they will follow the same path as the 6 year old did."
