Dicksons offers customization program A new low-threshold customization program from Dicksons aims to help Christian retail stores connect with churches and other groups in their local community. The “Just For You” line provides promotional items, gifts of appreciation and fund-raising aids on a small, in-store display unit. Among the items on which logos and artwork can be printed are bookmarks, key chains, buttons, pocket cards and magnets. T-shirts, calendars and travel mugs are also available, with minimum orders as low as 12 items for T-shirts and 144 for postcards. Stores can also promote the program—for which they serve as representatives for Dicksons—for large-group events like family reunions and weddings, said Andrea McKeag, national sales manager (pictured). “So many churches would like to advertise, but usually the minimums are huge,” she said. “These are low and there's no set-up cost for them, either.” Other new Dicksons lines unveiling at AmericasMart last month included Re-verse-a rings featuring an engraving that reads as another word when the ring is flipped, such as “peace” becoming “saved.” Men's and women's fashions are available. Also introduced was the “Cathedral Collection” by Kenneth Bray, jewelry featuring icons from around the world, and additions to the “Potssies” collection of garden-themed mugs, flower pots, wind chimes, plant pics and more. Dicksons had been intending to trim its new release numbers this year, “but we have had so many opportunities to come out with great products this year that we have actually about the same as last year,” McKeag said. “We want to help our retailers make wise choices and good selections that will increase their business.” |
