Kingstone Media Group (KMG) is hoping to make a big splash with retailers with its new comics, novels, graphic novels and film during the International Christian Retail Show (ICRS), to be held July 12-15 in Denver.

KMG founder and Chairman Art Ayris said his Leesburg, Fla.-based company "had a very small showing" at last year's show, but will spotlight the film The Touch on DVD in booth No. 1954 of the Colorado Convention Center. Ayris--who serves as executive pastor of First Baptist Leesburg--said the movie is based on a true story of Hannah, whose journey takes her through divorce, abuse, rape, jail and homelessness.

"The Touch chronicles all the bad touches Hannah had along the way," explained Ayris, noting that a number of people have come to Christ through the film. "But as God moves her towards redemption, the movie chronicles all the good touches along the way. Every incident in the movie is based on true ministry experiences at First Baptist. It is interesting to see the jail ministries that are getting the movie and showing it to inmates."

The Touch is distributed internationally by Imageworks Entertainment and Urban Home Entertainment. "We are also planning a sequel to this because of a miracle that happened after we made the film," Ayris said.

KMG will also showcase its Bible-based comics, including The Beginning, Incarnation and The Revelation as well as the novel Sudan and 2048--a futuristic graphic work of fiction by Marvin Olasky, World magazine editor-in-chief.

"Our first novel, Sudan, is based on a true story of the modern-day Sudanese slave trade," Ayris said. "It is one incredibly moving story. ... Currently, we only have a few products, but there are numerous titles in production that will be out on the market soon. We have Arabic and Spanish translations (of our comics), which will hopefully be ready in time for ICRS."
