Rick Warren has invited designers to create the cover for his latest book, The Hope You Need, to be released in Nov. 17 by Zondervan.

Through a Twitter posting yesterday, Warren--pastor of Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, Calif., and author of The Purpose-Driven Life (Zondervan)--announced that whoever submitted a design used for the final cover would receive $3,000. Zondervan today increased the winning design prize to $5,000.

The new book--a hardcover title that will retail for $24.99--centers on the lessons learned from the Lord's prayer. The cover design contest is open to amateurs and professional designers, ending Saturday, Sept. 19.
