Famous martial artist Chuck Norris is promoting The Official Chuck Norris Fact Book (Tyndale House Publishers), which features Norris' favorite humorous facts regarding his larger-than-life action-hero persona, as well as inspiration and anecdotes from the actor-author who is a committed Christian.

Norris signed 1,000-plus copies of his book for more than seven hours from 7 p.m., Nov. 2 through past 2 a.m., Nov. 3 at Scripture Haven bookstore in College Station, Texas, Tyndale officials said.

"It's such an honor; it's so hard to describe," Norris told College Station's KTBX-TV. "I can't really define how I feel in my heart that these people still look up to me."

Linda Moore of Scripture Haven added: "In our almost 30-year history of bookselling, this has to be the most memorable event ever."

Besides College Station--which is about 30 minutes from Norris' Texas ranch--the author signed copies of The Official Chuck Norris Fact Book at Bookends in Ridgewood, N.J., Nov. 6, and at the United States Military Academy in West Point, N.Y., Nov. 10.
