Belfast, Ireland-based contemporary worship band Bluetree--whose album God of This City (Lucid Artist/Lucid Creative Services), is one the best-selling Christian albums this year--has launched StandOut International, a charity to end child sex exploitation. Hit song "God of This City" was written by Bluetree during a mission trip while the band was on stage performing worship songs in the Climax Bar--a club which doubles as a brothel in the Red Light district of Pattaya, Thailand. Impacted by what they saw there, the band started StandOut International, label officials said. "We created StandOut International to help end child sex exploitation on a global scale, while loving, educating and releasing those rescued into the fullness of life that God has for them," said Bluetree's Pete Kernoghan, also known as Petey K. Among other things, StandOut will host short-term mission trips and events to raise awareness and support of those fighting to end child sex exploitation.
