Christian Retailing magazine is helping stores set themselves well for the coming year with its third online exhibition. The Virtual Christian Restock Connection, running Dec. 30, 2009, through March 30, 2010, will highlight some of the key new and backlist products from approximately 40 leading suppliers. In addition to promoting major releases and show specials at their virtual booths, the exhibitors are offering links to their Web sites, catalogs and products samples. Their presentations will be supplemented by Webinars and interviews with retailers and suppliers offering advice on inventory issues. "The start of a new year is a critical time for stores not only to look back on the previous year, but also make plans and buying decisions that will set the direction for much of the year to come," said Dave Condiff, Christian Retailing publisher. "There are live events in January, but not everyone has a budget that makes it possible for them to travel--or stores may have reduced staff so that it's hard for someone to be away. Through the virtual show, they are able to get many of the benefits of an event without having to leave home." The restock focus follows the Virtual Christmas Showcase, which drew more than 3,000 visits from 2,000 unique visitors from more than 60 countries last fall, and the Virtual Christian Retailing Show in the summer. With 25 exhibitors, it attracted 5,500 visits from more than 3,000 unique visitors in 64 countries. Retailers who place an offer of $500 retail with a Virtual Christian Restock Show exhibitor also qualify for a free registration, a $150 value, for Christian Retailing's The Gathering 2010, to be held April 21-23 at Southeast Christian Church in Louisville, Ky. |
