The Gospel Music Association (GMA) has announced the recipients of the 2010 International Award and Radio Stations of the Year. Australian-based rock/worship band Hillsong United was honored with the GMA International Award, which recognizes a non-U.S. performer or organization that has made a global impact. JOYFM in Winston-Salem, N.C., was recognized as the Southern Gospel Radio Station of the Year, while Colorado Springs, Colo.-based WAYFM Network was honored as the Contemporary Christian Radio Station of the Year. Additionally, WTLC in Indianapolis was recognized as the Gospel Radio Station of the Year. Announced earlier this month, the Radio Stations of the Year recipients were determined by a panel of judges who reviewed the stations' community involvement, ratings, broadcast programming, air talent quality and industry leadership. The 2010 International Award and Radio Stations of the Year awards were presented last night during the opening ceremonies of the 41st Annual GMA Dove Awards at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville.
