Oasis Audio Publisher Dan Balow has announced his resignation to pursue other opportunities, effective June 18. Industry veteran and current Oasis Audio New Business Development Director Tammy Faxel has been named publisher and sales director, company officials said.

Balow could not be reached to comment on details of his resignation. David Morris, owner of Oasis Audio, said Balow "has made a significant contribution to not only Oasis, but to the audio industry as a whole." "We've appreciated and benefited from his leadership, and wish him well in his future endeavors," Morris added.

Balow joined Carol Stream, Ill.-based Oasis Audio in 2006 after 14 years with Tyndale House Publishers, where he held positions in marketing, sales and international rights and licensing.

Balow is a member of the board of directors for the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association, and also serves on the advisory boards for both the Christy Awards and Partners in Publishing--an international publishing mentoring effort by Bethany International.

With more than 25 years of experience, Faxel has held positions in sales, national account management, author acquisition and product development with Tyndale House, Biblica and Books to Inspire.

In her new role as publisher, Faxel has named former Tyndale House employee Keri Tryba as sales account manager, effective June 21.

Oasis Audio won an Audio Publishers Association's Audie Award last month in the Biography/Memoir category for Anne Frank Remembered by Miep Gies and Alison Leslie Gold (Simon & Schuster), narrated by Barbara Rosenblat.
