Karen Kingsbury's latest installment in her movie-world series, Take Four (Zondervan), takes the top spot in the August best-sellers list from the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association (ECPA). The rest of the top 10 are: 2. Crazy Love by Francis Chan (David C. Cook); 3. Jesus Calling by Sarah Young (Thomas Nelson); 4. Forgotten God by Francis Chan (David C. Cook); 5. Bringing Up Girls by James C. Dobson (Tyndale House Publishers); 6. The 5 Love Languages by Gary Chapman (Northfield Publishing); 7. The Love Dare by Fireproof movie-making brothers Stephen and Alex Kendrick (B&H Publishing Group); 8. Radical by David Platt (Multnomah Books); 9. So Long, Insecurity by Beth Moore (Tyndale House Publishers); and 10. Take Three by Karen Kingsbury (Zondervan). The top 10 Bibles for June are: 1. Text Bible, NKJV (Thomas Nelson); 2. ESV Outreach New Testament (Crossway); 3. NIV Outreach Bible (Biblica/Authentic Media); 4. Gift and Award Bible, KJV, black leatherflex (Thomas Nelson); 5. NIV Adventure Bible, hardcover (Zondervan); 6. Thinline Bible, NIV, black bonded leather (Zondervan); 7. NIV Witness Edition Bible (Zondervan); 8. Thinline Bible, NIV, burgundy bonded leather (Zondervan); 9. Gift and Award Bible, KJV, black leatherflex (Thomas Nelson); and 10. Gift and Award Bible, KJV, red leatherflex (Thomas Nelson). The ECPA lists-for the four-week cycle ending July 17-are drawn from Christian retail stores across the country, through its PubTrack Christian data system.
