Mary Beth Chapman's Choosing to See: A Journey of Struggle and Hope (Revell/Baker Publishing Group) debuted at No. 16 on the New York Times Hardcover Nonfiction best-seller list published Sept. 9. Chapman, the wife of award-winning artist Steven Curtis Chapman, co-authored the book with Ellen Vaughn--a New York Times best-selling author and inspirational speaker. The book tells the story of Chapman's lifelong struggles with God through bouts with depression and the death of the Chapmans' daughter Maria in an accident in May 2008. Chapman has been on the road speaking at the first few Women of Faith conferences as well as at "A Night With the Chapmans," a tour that kicked off Sept. 10. The tour features both Steven and Mary Beth along with the band Caleb--which includes their sons, Caleb and Will. |
