‘Courageous’ movie release boosts book sales Print Email

As anticipated, the theatrical release of Courageous, the latest faith-based film from the makers of the hit movie Fireproof, has had an impact on book sales. Three related titles saw a spike in sales coinciding with Courageous’ Sept. 30 release at just over 1,100 theaters.

The Courageous novelization by Randy Alcorn, published by Tyndale House Publishers, rose to top spot in the fiction list for weekly sales ending Oct. 1, according to the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association’s Pubtrack Christian data. The title also ranked ninth in overall sales. 

The Resolution for Men by Stephen and Alex Kendrick and Randy Alcorn and The Resolution for Women by Priscilla Shirer, both published by B&H Publishing Group, were No. 11 and No. 12, respectively, on the overall list.
