The Munce Group is adding a special training session for would-be Christian store operators at its Christian Product Expo (CPE) next month. The five-hour Prospective Retailer Training seminar Jan. 29 will be led by Robbie Halstead, owner and lead consultant at Kingdom Retail Solutions. He will speak about putting together a business plan, choosing the right inventory and balancing ministry and business. “Each year we receive dozens of inquiries regarding starting a Christian bookstore,” said Munce Group President Kirk Blank. “Retailers, prospective retailers and vendors have all encouraged us to begin a Prospective Store Training Workshop at our CPE shows.” Having helped several new stores get started in the past year, earning “glowing reports” from the new operators, Halstead was “a perfect fit to lead this new venture for us,” Blank added. Participants in the free program are being invited to stay on for the full CPE program—which also has free registration—running Jan. 29-31 at the Lancaster County Convention Center in Lancaster, Pa. The event features author Charles Stanley as guest speaker, workshops and an exhibition floor. It is being held at the convention center for the first time, since moving from its longtime venue in Hershey, Pa. For more information, go to www.cpeshow.com. |
