Independent Christian retailers and church bookstore managers soon will come together for this month’s Christian Product Expo (CPE) in Murfreesboro, Tenn.

Hosted by the Munce Group, the Sept. 22-24 event at the Embassy Suites features a Bible conference, retail training, multiple tracks of workshops and roundtable discussions, artist and author showcases, and hours of buying time on the show floor.

“We began CPE 10 years ago with the goal to ‘encourage, equip and engage’ those who attend,” said Kirk Blank, president of Munce Group, which serves nearly 500 member retailers. “Retailers from all across the United States gather to worship, share ideas, learn new information and purchase products and services. We’ve been incredibly blessed to be a part of what God is doing!”

American Idol finalist and NavPress author Danny Gokey will be the keynote speaker for the Monday evening banquet, along with musical guests Laura Story and Steven Curtis Chapman.

The event kicks off Sunday with a time of worship and study with music group City Harbor and debut author Jefferson Bethke. At the new Personality Party, also held Sunday, retailers are invited to interact with best-selling authors from Abingdon Press, HarperCollins Christian Publishing, Tyndale House Publishers, Whitaker House and more. A question-and-answer session will follow at dinner with guest author Stasi Eldredge, then retailers will participate in a Night of Worship with music group MIKESCHAIR, author Pete Wilson and the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.

This year’s CPE also will offer two movie premieres, Grace Unplugged on Sunday night and Unstoppable on Monday night.
