Zondervan and best-selling author Tricia Goyer have teamed up to offer a unique promotion launching her new Amish novel, A Christmas Gift for Rose. Goyer has invited readers to help her host one of 50 Christmas book club brunches to be held Saturday, Dec. 7. Fans can sign up to participate via Goyer's website (www.triciagoyer.com/book-club-rose/) by Nov. 5, and 50 winners from across the country will be selected from entries received. Goyer will be joining all of the parties live via Skype with a special Christmas greeting. A part of her message will include sharing ideas on how guests can join together to impact lives in their communities this Christmas. “When I sat down to write A Christmas Gift for Rose, I thought about the message I wanted my readers to take with them after turning the last page,” Goyer said. “As we discover our true selves, we also begin to understand God's plan for our lives. I've been living out this message for the last decade as a writer and true stories inspire me—stories from World War II veterans, stories from Amish friends. In A Christmas Gift for Rose, I was able to combine these stories.” Laura Dickerson, marketing manager for Harper Collins Christian Publishing, said the company is excited that Goyer is hosting the Christmas Brunch Book Club party. “The holidays are the perfect time to be with those who have a special place in your heart, and we appreciate Tricia looking for ways to connect with her fans all over the country this holiday season,” Dickerson said. Winners selected to host parties in their homes will receive a kit that will allow them to share Goyer's books with their book club, reading group, friends and family. Party kits for the winners include copies of her books, recipe cards, bookmarks and a trivia game based on the book. |
