Casa Creación, the Spanish imprint of Charisma House, has named Julio Vientos as its new director with the March retirement of Lydia Morales as executive director. Morales began her career in 2000 as an executive assistant. She held a number of positions at Casa Creación until taking the helm of the imprint in 2006. Vientos, who has been serving as sales director is now director of Casa Creación. He has been with Charisma House for six years, has managed international and national sales, and has supervised the marketing area since 2011. Vientos has brought new business to the team and has expanded sales territories, markets and clientele. “Lydia Morales had been planning her retirement for a while. Unfortunately, her dad's health sped up her timeline. We are sad to see her go, and we are grateful for all the years of service and hard work she gave not only to Casa Creación, but also to the Spanish Christian publishing industry. At the same time, I'm thrilled with the team that is in place, and I'm certain they will take Casa Creación to a new level of excellence,” said Tessie DeVore, executive vice president of Charisma House. Casa Creación also has announced the following promotions, effective April 1: Antonio “Tony” Rivera will now be product development manager. Rivera has been working the last two years as marketing manager and in author acquisitions. He has been with the company since 2010 and in that time he has worked in multiple capacities, including managing editor of Vida Cristiana magazine. Elsie Martell, key accounts sales associate, is being promoted to marketing manager. Martell started with Casa Creación a year ago and was able to grow her accounts by 123 percent. Martell has a bachelor’s in publicity and a master’s in marketing, and started her marketing career working for Nielsen in marketing research and investigation. In addition, she was the founder and director of the magazine Buscando and held prominent marketing positions for companies such as Novartis, Coty and Microsoft. Casa Creación and Charisma House are part of Charisma Media, with its main offices in Lake Mary, Florida. |
