The Evangelical Christian Publishers Association (ECPA) has named industry veteran Stan Jantz as interim executive director, effective July 1. Jantz is founder of content consulting company The Muvum Group, co-founder of Conversant Media and recently served as interim CEO of Gospel Light. Jantz succeeds President and CEO Mark Kuyper, who was recently hired as executive director of the Book Industry Study Group, headquartered in New York City. “Stan has a unique blend of professional experience, corporate leadership and collaborative abilities that serve his passion for Christian writings and our common mission to lead people to Christ,” said Baker Publishing Group President/CEO and ECPA Chair Dwight Baker who headed the hiring committee. “We are pleased to welcome Stan to this important post, while we use this opportunity to seek a full-time CEO who will set a course for the future of ECPA.” Jantz has been involved with Christian content throughout his professional life. After a successful career in Christian retail, he began writing and became the best-selling co-author of more than 60 books, with 3.5 million copies sold worldwide. In 2007 he co-founded ConversantLife.com, a faith and culture social media experience. Most recently he was the publishing director for Regal Books and the interim CEO for Gospel Light. He holds an M.A. in Christian Apologetics from Biola University. He is an elder at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Newport Beach, California, and has served as a member of the Biola Board of Trustees since 1999, including four years as chair. “Christ-centered content has been the passion of my life from the time I began working in the Christian book industry,” said Jantz. “Throughout my entire professional career and personal life, I have found great joy in selling, writing and publishing books, Bibles and Christian resources, while leading outstanding organizations that serve that purpose. I am humbled by the opportunity to direct ECPA during this important time and look forward to furthering the valuable programs and services ECPA provides to strengthen and unite the industry.” |
