Send The Light (STL) is reorganizing in light of the retirement of Dee Goodhew, the distributor’s longtime international sales manager. “She was the face of GVB (Great Value Books) International,” the international remainders division of the Bristol, Tennessee-based distributor, said Mark Phillips, vice president of sales and marketing. Dee and her husband, Neville Goodhew, who is GVB’s logistics and shipping manager, are retiring at the end of this month. A fellow employee will assume Neville’s job functions, but STL has opted not to hire a replacement for Dee. “We are absorbing the sales function into our STL wholesale division,” Phillips said. “We will continue to offer service to our international customers through our wholesale division. It won’t be what it used to be when Dee was running it because that was what Dee did full time, and she was our international sales manager and traveled to various countries.” Dee is retiring with a thankful heart. “It has been a joy and blessing for me to have partnered with my customers in the extension of His kingdom over these past 15 years,” she said. “I am grateful (for) the friendships and hope to stay in touch with many of them.” |
