Prestonwood Bookstore is hosting best-selling novelist Francine Rivers and other Tyndale House authors this month at an exclusive event.

Rivers will speak at the two-hour evening event, “Transformed Through Story: An Evening with Francine Rivers & Friends,” will be held Friday, Sept. 18. The event is designed to give fiction fans a chance to interact with Rivers, known for her many books, including Redeeming Love and Bridge to Haven, and other Tyndale authors, Janice Cantore, DiAnn Mills, Eva Marie Everson, Allison Pittman, Pam Hillman, Courtney Walsh and Candace Calvert.

Deb Graham, manager and buyer at the Prestonwood Baptist Church store, was excited about the event that will be held at the church's Plano, Texas, campus.

“In a time when it’s a challenge to sell Christian books, Christian fiction is alive and well,” Graham said.

Dessert will be served, and there will be giveaways. Attendees who purchase a ticket, which are $5 each, also will receive a free novel.
