Lloyd Hildebrand will step down Dec. 31 as president and CEO of Bridge-Logos Inc. Suzanne Wooldridge, daughter of Bridge-Logos founders Guy and Kitty Morrell, will become president and CEO. Hildebrand will continue with the company as managing editor and author. He is currently working on Promises That Prevail, which will be released in 2016. Hildebrand reflected on his tenure with Bridge-Logos. “Working with Bridge-Logos through the years has been a truly rewarding experience for me in so many ways,” Hildebrand said. “I started with the company back in 1969 when the company was Logos International Fellowship. I was the executive editor of the company in those days. I then became general manager of Bridge Publishing Inc. More recently, since 2007, I have been the president and CEO of the company. “It has been wonderful to work with so many authors, vendors, customers, readers, staff members and suppliers,” he said. “I thank God for the many opportunities He has given to me. He has been very faithful to our company through the years, and I’ve seen His hand at work in so many ways. He truly is the heart, center and leader of our company.” Bridge-Logos has three shareholders: Wooldridge, Edward Harding and Hildebrand. All three are working to make sure the company continues to head in the right direction. Harding, former president of New Wine Publishing, commented on the need for transition. “We live in days where the Word of God and the power of the Holy Spirit are needed more than ever,” Harding said. “Bridge seeks to publish books that honor our spiritual heritage and make them available for a new generation.” Wooldridge had kind words for Hildebrand and looked forward to her new role. “Lloyd has made a significant contribution to Bridge-Logos over the years and more recently has been central to the company’s progression since my parents went home to the Lord,” she said. “He will be missed! Knowing that Lloyd will still be on-hand, however, is certainly a blessing. I feel incredibly privileged and honored to be taking the role of president [and] CEO and being at the helm of Bridge-Logos. I am looking forward to continuing the development of the business and seeing future growth.” Anchor Distributors took over all matters related to warehousing, distribution, order fulfillment and invoicing as of Sept. 1. Bridge-Logos looks forward to continued growth in 2016. “We know that God’s purposes for this company are being worked out in so many ways,” Hildebrand said. “It is a privilege and honor for us to be able to serve Him through the publishing ministry of Bridge-Logos Inc.” |
