Ruth Soukup's Living Well, Spending Less (Zondervan) has sold more than 100,000 copies since its release Dec. 30, 2014. The book, which attempts to change how readers look at spending money, appeared on the New York Times best-seller list immediately upon its initial release. Living Well, Spending Less launched with a “12 Secrets Challenge” on Soukup’s highly successful blog. The book garnered media attention from The Washington Post, The Huffington Post and Newsday, among others. Soukup is a personal finance blogger who reaches over 1.5 million readers every month through her blog. Tom Dean, vice president of marketing for trade books at Zondervan, commented on this milestone. “The Zondervan team is thrilled to see Ruth’s book hit this sales milestone in less than a year,” Dean said. “Ruth is a relentless evangelist for the Living Well, Spending Less lifestyle, and those tireless efforts from her and the Zondervan team is what has pushed the book to this significant sales number so quickly.” In January 2016, Zondervan is releasing a downloadable video study based on Living Well, Spending Less, featuring four video sessions and a free printable study guide. Additionally, Zondervan will release a video study to accompany Soukup’s next book, Unstuffed: Decluttering Your Home, Mind and Soul, concurrent with the trade book release in April 2016. |
