Charisma House announced Friday that two books written by New York Times best-selling author Jonathan Cahn were recognized as the Evangelical Christian Publishing Association (ECPA) Top 100 Christian Best-sellers of 2015 for the second year in a row. The Harbinger and The Mystery of the Shemitah charted in the top 15 books of the year, as well as No. 1 in fiction and No. 9 in nonfiction for the year. Cahn is the only author to have both a fiction and nonfiction title on the list of 2015 best-sellers and stand-alone Top 100 list. Tessie DeVore, Charisma House’s publisher and executive vice president, commented on the important milestone. “Having two books on the ECPA Top 100 Christian Best-sellers is not only a milestone for 2015, but is an accolade that few authors have been able to achieve,” DeVore said. “To chart in both fiction and nonfiction categories are indicative of the high level of receptivity to the core message of the books in light of the political and moral climate.” Published Jan. 3, 2012, The Harbinger debuted on the New York Times best-seller list in its first week of release and charted for over 110 weeks. And with multiple weeks on the New York Times list, Cahn’s second release, The Mystery of the Shemitah, has also become a publishing phenomenon. Maintaining momentum through media appearances and enthusiastic readership, Shemitah has become part of national discourse. Ancillary products expanding on the two books include The Harbinger Decoded and The Shemitah Unlocked DVDs. All Harbinger-related products have sold 3 million units in their combined total. “The Harbinger and The Mystery of the Shemitah have become a catalyst and rallying cry to pray for America and its leaders as well as personal spiritual growth,” DeVore said. “Millions have been impacted by Jonathan Cahn’s unique insight and prophetic writings.” Both of Cahn's titles also were on ECPA’s annual list in 2014. |
