CBA Connect, the retailer trade association's new initiative to help frontliners know their product better, could be a “game changer” in helping set Christian stores apart from other channel competitors.

That's how CBA Strategic Solutions Executive Curtis Riskey described the program during a visit today to the Christian Retailing offices with CBA President Bill Anderson, who added that CBA Connect was part of an emphasis on “putting the 'special' back in specialty retail.”
To be launched fully at the International Christian Retail Show in Denver in July, CBA Connect will give retailers online access to training and support services from the association and suppliers, helping them better serve customers looking for resources.

During their time with Christian Retailing staff, Anderson and Riskey also told of the encouraging reports they had heard from member stores doing well despite the economic downturn, and the success of channel-specific promotions, including the Operation Worship Bible campaign and the current Campaign Financial Aid initiative.
