More than 300 registrants have signed up for the first Evangelical Christian Publishers Association (ECPA) Publishing University Nov. 7-9 at Indian Lakes Resort in Bloomingdale, Ill.

According to the ECPA, the purpose of the training sessions is to provide an ongoing educational opportunity for growth and development in the skills necessary for professional advancement and excellence in the business of Christian publishing, to provide experienced faculty in an interactive learning environment so participants can learn from experienced professionals in their field and from each other and to provide the same professional level of subjects each year for new participants along with intermediate and advanced courses for those who successfully participate in this first-year program.

Six training tracks will be offered. They are: advanced management/strategic planning; marketing, advertising, promotion and publicity; editorial; sales, financial management/administration; and rights and contract management.
