Sunday, 19 February 2006 07:00 PM America/New_York

Thomas Nelson has announced it will consolidate its World Publishing's Bible division into its Nelson Bibles division, effective April 1. Two additional Bible translations from World will be transferred to the Nelson Bibles imprint: the New American Standard Bible (NASB) and New Revised Standard Version (NRSV).

World was acquired by Nelson in 2003 from Riverside World, the parent company of Riverside Distributors, which closed in 2004. Current World Publishing book projects under contract will go to Nelson's W Publishing Group division.

Nelson also publishes the King James Version (KJV), New King James Version (NKJV), International Children's Bible (ICB) and the New Century Version (NCV).
