Three films and three TV episodes have been nominated to receive Epiphany Prizes from the John Templeton Foundation in the category of Inspiring Movies & TV. The two winners-who will receive $50,000 each-will be announced March 2 at the 14th annual MOVIEGUIDE Faith & Values Awards Gala in Beverly Hills, Calif., three days before this year's Oscars ceremony.

The Epiphany nominees include The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe; the British film Millions; and the German film The Ninth Day. Television nominees include the “X-Mas” episode of 7th Heaven, followed by the CBS two-part miniseries Pope John Paul II and the Hallmark Channel documentary C.S. Lewis: Beyond Narnia.

According to the John Templeton Foundation, the Epiphany Prizes are given to the movie and TV show during the previous year that “resulted in a great increase in man's love or understanding of God.”
