Author receives Lifetime Achievement Award |

Donald E. Messer, president emeritus and Henry White Warren Professor of Practical Theology at The Iliff School of Theology in Denver, has been awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award by a medical university in India focused on combating global HIV and AIDS. Messer, head of the Center for the Church and Global AIDS in Denver, was cited for his life's work “addressing international issues of social justice, racial equality, world hunger and the global HIV/AIDS pandemic,” according to Messer's publisher Augsburg Fortress.
Messer's latest books include Ending Hunger Now, which he co-authored with former Sen. George McGovern and former Sen. Bob Dole, and Breaking the Conspiracy of Silence |
