The Retail Industry Leaders Association (RILA) has announced that the industry's first effort to examine retail-specific data-assurance practices is set to begin March 16. The first meeting of the RILA Data Assurance Exchange will bring together data security practitioners to identify data-security issues. The Exchange will continue its work throughout the year.

“The continued safeguarding of customer transaction data and employee information is a top priority for our membership,” said Sandy Kennedy, RILA president. “We're looking forward to an interactive forum where participants can identify areas that might need additional attention.”
