Tommy Nelson wins Kid Power Award |

Tommy Nelson, the children's division of Thomas Nelson Publishers, was awarded the Runner-up for Best Campaign in Media/Publishing award for its marketing efforts for Buzby the Misbehaving Bee DVD from its “Max Lucado's Hermie & Friends” series. The award was presented at the 13th Annual Kid Power Event in Orlando, Fla. The first place recognition in the same category went to Nickelodeon Jr.'s La Casa De Dora Mall Tour campaign. The Buzby animated video, first released in 2005, showcases the voice talent of comedian Tim Conway and the late Don Knotts, and was also named the No. 1 Christian Video of 2005 by Nielsen SoundScan. It has sold more than 300,000 units to date.
The 2006 Kid Power Awards program was organized “to recognize the most innovative kids marketing campaigns for the previous year,” the company said in a statement.
