Warner Faith is changing its name to FaithWords. The change, announced Tuesday, follows parent company Time Warner Book Group's sale to Hachette Livre in March.

“We could have waited five years before coming up with a new name, but we didn't think it was wise to continue building equity in a brand that we would eventually have to surrender,” said Publisher Rolf Zettersten.

The change is effective immediately on stationery and other collateral, but will not be implemented on book covers and copyright pages until November. The company is not making changes in its publishing team, authors or business plan. Included among its best-selling authors are Joyce Meyer, Joel Osteen and T.D. Jakes.

Hachette Livre, based in Paris, is the third-largest book publisher in the world. FaithWords is a division of the Hachette Book Group USA, headquartered in New York City.
