A Georgetown University Press book recently won a top religion prize. The American Society of Church History awarded the Albert C. Outler Prize to Reverend Canon Dr. John Nurser for writing For All Peoples and All Nations: The Ecumenical Church and Human Rights. The award was announced last month at the American Society of Church History Annual Winter Meeting in Atlanta. “We are extremely pleased that a book on human rights has received such prestigious recognition from the academic religious community,” said Richard Brown, director of Georgetown University Press. “And we are particularly honored to have John Nurser's name associated with the Georgetown imprint.”
The Albert C. Outler Prize is a highly coveted award given to the author of the best book published in the two previous calendar years in ecumenical church history.
