CBA has hired Curtis Riskey, owner of Basic Books and Café in Oshkosh, Wis., for the newly created position of strategic solutions executive.

In his new role, Riskey will oversee CBA's membership, training and data functions. Bill Anderson, president and CEO of CBA, said Riskey “is going to be a tremendous asset to CBA as he brings his experience of owning and operating a successful Christian retail store as well as his business expertise and passion for the ministry of Christian retail.”

Riskey is currently overseeing the sale of his store, and will relocate with his wife and three children to Colorado Springs, Colo., in September to begin his CBA job, association officials said. Riskey is a Christian Retailing editorial advisory board member.
