Recent brain research supports the inclusion of a variety of learning styles in early-age Christian education, according to a document released from New Day Publishing, a new Christian education publisher based in Greensboro, N.C. The research shows that music and movement are particularly important in the enhancement of listening skills, language development, gross motor abilities, memory, concentration, body and spatial awareness, social skills and self-expression. Children can more easily understand God's love for them through hands-on, developmentally appropriate activities, which allows them to sing, move, cook and play, the study found. Learning is always more memorable if children can hear, smell, touch or taste the subject. Access a free copy of the research at newdaypublishing.net/index.php?page=free-articles.
