Harvest House Publishers has entered into an agreement with Ontario-based Foundation Distributing Incorporated to be the exclusive distributor of its products in Canada, effective immediately. Harvest House was among a group of U.S. publishers previously distributed by Ontario-based R.G. Mitchell Family Books (RGM), which began operations in 1934 but unexpectedly closed Sept. 15—causing some U.S. publishers to scramble to find other sources of distribution in Canada. "What makes Foundation so appealing to us is their long term focus, reputation and expressed commitment to our company and book line," said Bob Hawkins Jr., president of Harvest House. Harvest House Vice President of Sales John Constance added: "We are working quickly to resume normal and effective distribution of our titles in Canada. We sincerely appreciate how hard the Canadian retailers have worked to overcome the distribution challenges following the loss of services formerly provided by R.G. Mitchell." Formerly distributed by RGM, Tyndale House Publishers recently announced an agreement with Foundation Distributing to be the exclusive distributor of its products in Canada. |
