Baker Publishing Group has released the God's Word Bible translation for the iPhone, iPod Touch and other electronic formats through Laridian, one of the leading providers of electronic publishing for handheld mobile computers. In addition to the iPhone and iPod Touch, God's Word is available for Windows Mobile and Windows Desktop, company officials said. "There was a demand for God's Word on handheld devices," said Brian Vos, director of Bibles and e-commerce for Baker. Laridian Publisher Jim VanDuzer said his company "currently offers 30 different translations of the Bible in various formats, but God's Word was one of the few we didn't have." Baker acquired the rights to God's Word from Green Key Books earlier this year. Promoted as "Today's Most Readable Bible," God's Word has received endorsements from Billy Graham and many Christian leaders.
