Thomas Nelson, Inc. announced that Mark Schoenwald has joined the company as chief sales officer (CSO). Schoenwald will have management responsibility for all trade sales channels and will report to Michael Hyatt, president and chief operating officer (COO).

Previously serving as president of New Creative Enterprises, a supplier of gift, garden and home décor products, Schoenwald has led efforts selling to department stores, mass market, specialty, mail order, hardware, garden center and closeout sales channels. Prior to that post, Schoenwald was president of One Coast Network, which sold home, gift, and consumer goods regionally.

Schoenwald is planning a multi-city tour to meet with retailers in the next 90 days.
