TOMMY NELSON CLAIMS LION'S SHARE OF CHILDREN'S MARKET |
Wednesday, 21 July 2004 08:00 PM America/New_York |
Thomas Nelson Publishers announced that Tommy Nelson, one of its publishing imprints, is the leading publisher within the Christian children's category with 20.32% market share, as identified by point-of-sale data collected from CBA retailers by Sales Tracking Analysis Trends Summary (STATS) for the previous 12 months. Max Lucado's Hermie & Friends brand carved out a large portion of the market share for Tommy Nelson. Both Hermie: The Common Caterpillar and Flo: The Lyin' Fly were at the top of the best-selling book charts in the month of June. Another major contributor to Tommy Nelson's success is Bible for Me, which sold more than 100,000 units in its first year of release.
