Pubnet, the leading book publishing industry e-commerce exchange appointed by Evangelical Christian Publishers Association (ECPA) to serve its members' EDI needs, announced today that ECPA Pubnet will go live Friday, replacing the former X*net network. Pubnet allows more than 3,000 distributors, bookstores and other retailers to place electronic orders, and receive back order acknowledgements, invoices and advance shipping notices through standardized electronic methods. This electronic supply chain system is set up to streamline the ordering process, increasing efficiency and lowering ordering costs. Pubnet currently serves the U.S. trade and higher education markets and is the official EDI provider in the Canadian market. For customers who have transitioned to Pubnet, the old X*net program will be severed. A list of those businesses can be found on the ECPA Pubnet Information Page: www.bowkersupport.com/Pubnet/ecpa/ ECPA members can join Pubnet for no charge until the end of 2004, while several solutions exist for any vendor or retailer who has not switched to Pubnet and want to retain relationships with partners trading on ECPA Pubnet. Interested parties can contact ECPA for more information.
