Robbie Seay Band's song "Rise" has been featured in promotional spots for the Fox's American Idol season seven, according to Sparrow Records, the group's label.

From the band's latest album, Give Yourself Away, "Rise" promoted the popular program, which premiered Tuesday and Wednesday.

"It's a song written from my own frustration of living a life so centered on me that it becomes too busy and distracted," Seay said. "It's about slowing down enough to see the great need of people both near and far and acting on that need."
