Sean Smith has been named Inspirational Artist of the Year at the 2008 Momentum Awards, which were handed out March 29 at the annual Christian Indie Artists Summit in Franklin, Tenn.

Smith was named Male Vocalist of the Year at last year's ceremony and also picked up four awards during the inaugural Momentum Awards in 2006.

Fan voting and a panel selected this year's winners in 15 categories and four special awards were also handed out, according to Indieheaven.com and the Christian Independent Alliance.
