Third Day's new recording is getting a major push at LifeWay Christian Stores. Shoppers who pre-order the July 29 release, Revelation (Essential Records/Provident-Integrity), are being offered it for $7.99 and also receive a free T-shirt and $5 savings card. The band's first studio album in two year marks something of a departure for the group, now a four-piece following the recent departure of guitarist Brad Avery. After selling more than 6 million units through its 15-year career, the band teamed with Howard Benson, a high-profile producer in Los Angeles who has worked with mainstream acts Daughtry and Hoobastank. The result is “a breath of fresh air,” said lead singer Mac Powell. “We feel like a brand-new band. There's a freshness and a newness to what we're doing.” |
