Toby Mac performs for the pope |
Sunday, 01 June 2008 08:00 PM America/New_York |
Toby Mac recently performed at a youth rally at St. Joseph's Seminary in Yonkers, N.Y., which featured Pope Benedict XVI during his inaugural visit to the U.S. As a member of dcTalk, Toby Mac performed at similar rallies in Denver in 1993 and St. Louis in 1999, both of which were presided over by the late Pope John Paul II. The rally's purpose in Yonkers on April 19 was to encourage youth to seek vocations within the church. Toby Mac, who is not Catholic, called it an honor to participate in the pope's visit. "We have great respect for the work he does," he said. |
