, the stand-up comedy DVD hosted by two-time Emmy winner Patricia Heaton, has gleaned an initial order of 60,000 units, Word Distribution announced-the largest comedy DVD order in the history of the Christian market.

“We always knew that people loved to laugh, but this level of demand is beyond our wildest expectations,” said Word Distribution President Mark Funderburg. "Thou Shalt Laugh" has set a new standard for excellence. … We anticipate Thou Shalt Laugh will be filling the Christmas stockings of both believers and non-believers alike.”

The William Morris Agency recently signed Thou Shalt Laugh and booking is underway for an ambitious nationwide tour in spring 2007. In addition, Dicksons' Lawson Falle Cards has designed a new card line around the Thou Shalt Laugh brand. Timed for the DVD release on Nov. 7, the 66-card line will expand to 200-plus cards available at Christian and mainstream stores.
