Big Idea Inc. is releasing VeggieTales: The Wonderful Wizard of Ha's Oct. 6. A twist on the classic film The Wizard of Oz, the video, written by VeggieTales co-creator Phil Vischer, tells the story of the prodigal son, teaching the lesson of understanding forgiveness.

Terry Pefanis, Big Idea's chief operating officer, said Vischer "has written a funny, clever and moving story that will connect with families everywhere and encourage many with the concept of unconditional love and forgiveness."

The DVD includes a new Silly-Song "Monkey" and bonus features, including Mr. Lunt singing "Somewhere Over the Rainbow." The video is available from Word Distribution in the Christian market.

To promote the DVD, Big Idea said 275 Braum's Ice Cream and Dairy Store locations will feature The Wonderful Wizard of Ha's-themed kid's meals, including a toy, meal bag and $2 savings coupon.

Chick-fil-A will also features The Wonderful Wizard of Ha's-themed "Family Fun Night Events" at approximately 600-plus locations. The promotion will include posters at the restaurant, table tents, coloring pages, kids' activity sheets, stickers and DVD giveaways.

Additionally, more than 2,500 churches nationwide will host Family Fun Events featuring a premiere screening of The Wonderful Wizard of Ha's, Big Idea said.
