Big Idea is releasing VeggieTales: Tomato Sawyer & Huckleberry Larry's Big River Rescue in Christian retail stores July 12.

A twist on Mark Twain's American classics about Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn, the DVD takes Tomato Sawyer and Huckleberry Larry on a journey on the Mississippi, where they discover an important lesson in helping others, inspired by James 4:17.

"Sometimes not helping someone can be just as bad as actually hurting them," said Phil Vischer, VeggieTales co-creator, who wrote the story.

Available from Word Distribution in the Christian market, the DVD features a new Silly Song, "The Biscuit of Zazzamarandabo," and bonus features.

As part of the marketing campaign for Big River Rescue, Chuck E. Cheese restaurants will show the Silly Song from the DVD in the birthday area in more than 500 locations nationwide.

Big Idea is also offering Christian retailers a "free gift with purchase" campaign. Consumers who buy the Big River Rescue DVD will receive a free Trip Time Fun Activity Book, which includes 16 coloring and activity pages, a poster and a six-song bonus CD featuring VeggieTales road trip songs.
