New tunes and new artists were the feature of the Word Records evening concert at The Tabernacle last night. New band Mute Math began the evening with a rousing set of songs to be featured on its August 24 EP, while Building 429 premiered songs from its July project, Space In Between.

Nicole C. Mullen delivered a few tracks from her upcoming Everyday People in funk, hip hop and inspirational fashion. Singers Jaci Velasquez and Rachael Lampa hinted at rockier things to come from each of them on their upcoming discs.

Point of Grace returned to the CBA spotlight with new member Leigh Capallino and two new songs from their fall disc, along with two recent radio singles.

Nic Gonzalez of Salvador served as host and also performed two acoustic offerings.
