Today is the final day for suppliers to take advantage of the early-bird discount for the 2008 Retailers Choice Awards. More than 60 products have been submitted to date.

For every five paid nominations submitted with the $50 entry fee for each product, a sixth product may be submitted free of charge.

Publishers, gift companies and other suppliers can enter products in 31 wide-ranging categories. For those not taking advantage of the early-bird discount, the nomination deadline is Friday, Feb. 29.

Starting in April, Christian retailers will consider the nominations and vote on what they believe to be the best new Christian products of 2007.

Since it was introduced by Christian Retailing magazine in 2000, the Retailers Choice Awards program has been increasingly acknowledged in the industry as an important way of recognizing some of the most significant new life-changing materials. This year's program features the addition of three new categories-Catholic/Liturgical, Church Supplies and Vacation Bible School.

Winners will be announced at the International Christian Retail Show in Orlando, Fla., this summer.
