One of the freshest products on display on the Expo floor is Green Key Books' “SentameNTs” line of outreach Scriptures, whose first batch was delivered directly to the show. Wrapping the God's Word Translation New Testament in a greeting-card-styled cover, “SentameNTs” are designed to take some of the awkwardness out of personal evangelism and enable people to present the Bible to someone without appearing judgmental, said Green Key President and Publisher Peter Castor. “SentameNTs” launch with nine different designs that feature a striking cover image and simple words-such as a cup of coffee and “Fresh Start” or a clock face and “It's About Time”-and back cover copy related to the felt need illustrated, such as reflection or busyness. Castor said that there had been “a lot of positive feedback” from stores that had tested the products, with one major chain already placing an order. The “SentameNTs” are being provided to stores in floor displays featuring all nine editions face-out, with signage explaining, “What you want to tell them on the outside … what you want to give them on the inside.” Green Key plans to introduce three new designs each season. “SentamenNTs” retail for $4.99 each. Green Key also has developed three church editions that “still don't say Bible or New Testament, but are a little bit more outreach-looking,” Castor said. |
