Reading glasses come in cross or dove themes with scripture lines on arms Disciple Shades rolled out the industry’s first collection of Scripture-based reading glasses with Bible verses on the inside of every style last month. “Our glasses provide a unique way to keep our attention on what is truly important—our faith and spirituality,” said Disciple Shades President Sherrie Gornish. The new line of reading glasses, “Disciple Readers,” follows the same style guidelines as the company’s sunglasses. They come in various colors with cross or dove themes and have a different verse for each style. The three styles—Jeremiah, Matthew and Peter—feature two colors per style. Each has six prescription options per color (+1.25, +1.50, +1.75, +2.00, +2.25, +2.50) and will retail for $14.99. The Jeremiah design has the verse, “God, my strength, my stronghold, Jer. 16:19,” on the inside of one of the frame’s arms. The design comes in either a brown stripe with silver cross icon on the outside arm by the temple or black frames with an all-over cross print. The Matthew design has “You’re here to be light, Matt. 5:14” on the inside of one of the frame’s arms. The design comes in shiny black frames with a silver cross on the temple or in shiny tortoise-colored frames with a silver dove on the outside arm temple area. The Peter design has the verse, “You never saw him, yet you love him, 1 Pet. 1:8,” on the inside of one of the frame’s arms. The design comes in a shiny black frame with a silver cross on the temple or brown striped frame with a silver cross on the temple. The company’s executive team has more than two decades of experience in the sun-fashion retail, wholesale and brand-management business.
