'Fearless' debuts at top of ECPA list Print Email

Max Lucado's latest book, Fearless, is one of three new titles to make it into the top 10 of the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association's (ECPA) best-seller charts in the first month of its release.

The Thomas Nelson title shot straight to the No. 1 spot in the October listings, while Ted Dekker's Green (Thomas Nelson) took seventh place, one ahead of Francis Chan's Forgotten God (David C. Cook).

Christian retailers have been urged to use a low-cost way to tap into high-tech marketing opportunities.

Stores can promote new releases by dedicating a computer to publisher and other Web sites that feature books, says Sarah Bolme, director of the Christian Small Publishers Association.

Sarah Palin memoir to release Nov. 17 Print Email

Going Rogue: An American Life, the highly anticipated memoir from former Alaskan governor and vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, will release to Christian retail stores through Zondervan on Nov. 17 for $28.99.

The book, which is expected to chronicle the candidate's political background including her vice presidential bid, will have an initial first printing of 1.5 million copies. Palin worked with ghostwriter Lynne Vincent, co-writer of Same Kind of Different As Me (Thomas Nelson).

B&H Publishing Group has announced that The Love Dare Day by Day by Stephen and Alex Kendrick, a follow-up to its New York Times best-seller The Love Dare, will release Dec. 1, for $19.99.

"The Love Dare Day by Day picks up where the 40-day dare leaves off," John Thompson, B&H vice president of marketing, said. "Many of our readers finished the 40 days and began again. Day by Day takes them through an entire year."
